The Annual General Meeting of the Company will be held at the Marl Pits, Newchurch Road, Rossendale, Lancashire BB4 7SN on Sunday 10 July 2016 at 2.00 p.m.

The AGM includes many aspects that were fed back from the Membership Survey. In particular, it will include the following: -

-          The formal AGM Agenda

-          Open discussion on a topic submitted to the Secretary by Wendy Dodds and David Rosen

-          Nicky Spinks will give a talk on her recent Double Bob Graham Record!

-          A presentation on the feedback from the Member’s Survey

-          An update on the development of the FRA Strategy, as we approach 50 years

The Committee looks forward to your active participation If you cannot attend then you are invited to submit a Proxy Vote for the formalAGM agenda  to the Secretary by 26th June 2016.

If you would like to stand for the committee then nominations must be submitted to the secretary by 26th June 2016 (this date has been extended out from the original notice). Details of posts are to be found in the constitution paragraphs 22 to 25.  

Members can stand for any post at the AGM and a number of members have indicated that they will not be re-standing this year. In all but one case we have indication of another member willing to stand for the vacant posts. The one post I have received no nominations for is the FRA Statistician.

All of those standing down have offered to provide assistance to the new incumbents and to provide a detailed handover.

I would like to personally thank those standing down for all of the work they have done in previous years, both as “named officers” and in contributing to the bigger FRA Committee Agenda.

A draft of the strategy will be posted on the FRA Web Site 2 weeks before the AGM, in preparation for consultation at the AGM.

Feedback from the member’s survey will also be presented at the meeting for discussion, and posted with the minutes.
